Burkina Who?!?!
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country (and former French colony) in western Africa, roughly the same size as the state of Utah. While it is revered for its hospitable and optimistic people and its many illustrious contributions to African art, it is also one of the poorest countries on the planet (the third most impoverished in the world, according to the UN).
"Waggadoogoo" is the phonetic spelling of Burkina Faso's capital city, Ouagadougou—hence the title of this blog.
